To Absent Friends:

Action Porty, in conjunction with Life Celebrant, Loretta Dunn, will have remembrance campfires on Portobello Beach on Sunday 7th November, 2pm - 4.30pm, Bellfield.
Participants will gather at 2pm in Bellfield Front Gardens with an opening ceremony to start the event. The procession will then make its way down to the beach where there will be campfires to allow for sharing stories and remembering loved ones. The event is free but ticketed. Edinburgh’s Durgotsav:

Recently, the Scottish Association of Bengali Arts and Sanskritik Heritage held Durgotsav, a Hindu festival, at Bellfield. The multiple-day cultural event was celebrated with music, singing and prayers.

Action Porty Festive Fun:

This year, Action Porty will work together with local traders, to create an evening of activities in the community. More details will follow, meanwhile here are some dates to add to your diary:
On Thursday 9th Dec, Porty Christmas Tree Lights will switch on and shops will be open later for you to get some Christmas gifts locally.
Window Wanderland is back after last year's success. It will run from Friday 10th Dec to Monday 13th Dec. We are inviting Portobello’s residents to set free their creative minds to brighten our streets during the dark evenings.

Community Share:

Action Porty Board are preparing for a community share issue to raise funds to refurbish the Bellfield Celebration Hall. This means converting the organization from a charity and company limited by guarantee to be a charity and community benefit organisation. A members meeting will be held in the new year with more information.
